1. Gifts of Art

Aldridge Gardens

Shop the wares of 13 local artists with everything from textiles to jewelry to glass-work to woodworking for everyone on your list. You can also buy Aldridge Gardens’ ornaments in partnership with the Hoover Kiwanis Club that can have multiple uses throughout the year. Come join the fun and have a cup of cider! 

2. Bluff Park 8K

Saturday, Dec. 4
Bluff Park United Methodist Church

Take a slow rolling tour through the heart of Bluff Park including historic Park Avenue in this new 8K. With only 250 feet of climbing over the whole course, you might even forget you are running on a mountain. All registrants receive participant T-shirt and post-race pancake and bacon breakfast. Stick around for the Bluff Park Christmas Parade at 10 a.m. that day too. Register at runsignup.com.

3. Greenery Sale

It’s time to decorate your mantles, mailboxes, and entryways with fresh greenery for the holidays! Find, garlands and wreaths, along with bows, mailbox cover frames, and wreath frames at this annual sale.

4. Take 6 In Concert

Saturday, Dec. 4 | 7:30 p.m.
Hoover Public Library Theatre

This American a cappella gospel sextet has 10 Grammy Awards, 10 Dove Awards, 2 NAACP Image Awards, a Soul Train Award and 3 Gold albums to their name. The group has pushed the boundaries of creativity across most musical genres, from straight-ahead jazz to pop to adult R&B to doo wop to blues with every new release and with their ever-evolving live performances. 5. Ho Ho Hoover-Randle

Celebrate the season with performances tours and refreshments all benefiting Hoover Helps. Additional parking is available at Shades Mountain Community Church with regular shuttles to the event. Tickets are $15. Get yours here.

6. Live on the Plaza: Valley Maker

7. Storytime with Santa

8. Meadow Brook Runs
